Can you do the shelves in a different finish like a black stain?
Yes we can certainly do that—- the standard finish on our shelves is a handmade Brown Mocha Stain on rustic reclaimed pine boards…. but these are handmade to order; and thus we can do a black stain per request (which is our second most popular request), we can keep the boards their natural clear color, or we can paint them white, distressed white or grey.
After the desired finish is applied and dry, we then oil the shelves for a protective matte finish.
We can also omit finishing with the protective oil finish for customers that wish to paint the shelves themselves to match their own decor.
Here, David requested this shelf as clear unfinished wood and with no oil finish so he could finish it himself. Here he stained himself with a dark walnut and used polyurethane on the shelves to store in his bathroom. Looks good David!
I really like your product, but I am not able to fit a 15” wide. Is it possible to get 12” wide in the deep double?
Yes we can certainly do that! The most popular and requested lengths are shown on the listing, and we can add more as requested.
How about longer shelves? Like 36” to 48” wide?
This is a bit more complicated due to shipping costs. We have found lengths longer than 32” increase shipping costs dramatically. We suggest breaking up the shelves into two orders—- need 36” of shelves? Then order two 18” long shelves. Need 48” length of shelves? (2) 24” shelves should do perfectly.

Can you personalize the shelves with a name or logo?
For sure we can… we engrave custom personalization onto almost all our wood items, and can add it to your shelving units as well. Costs range based on size of personalization requested…. engravings start at $10… to $20 for a little longer engravings and more depending on size and complexity. Note that engravings are naturally black as they are burned into the wood— so they show up best on clear unstained wood or on our grey stained shelves.

What kind of wood are these bottle shelves made out of?
We hand select rough sawn reclaimed pine for our rustic wood shelves.
We can also use clear-smooth pine that produces a more clean smooth finish per request.
For custom hardwood shelves like Black Cherry or Maple—contact us for pricing.
I would prefer the flush finished shelf rather than the shelf having a lip on it. Can you make this without a lip?
Yes, our standard shelf construction is to put a small 1/4” lip as a bottle stop on the front of the shelves. However, per request we can make the shelves flush without a lip on the front.
